Swivels and bits
A swivel stops line twist and gives you somewhere honest to join bits of a rig.

Rolling swivels, size 4–1/0 for most beach rigs. Black or dull — a giant brass barrel flashing in clear water is not a feature. A bait clip, a bead and a crimp are the other three things in a rig tin.
