Understanding tides
Tide is the clock. Height, speed and the hour either side of high or low matter more than the brand of your reel.

Flood is water coming in. Ebb is water going out. Many beaches fish the last of the flood and the first of the ebb. Some estuaries fish a running tide, not slack high. Learn the mark, not a slogan.
